Issue No. 5 — Built Slowly on Purpose

For a long time, I thought success looked like becoming a household name.

I had already been in the rooms — working alongside major designers, stylists, showrooms, and retailers throughout New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. My jewelry was sold nationally. Celebrities wore the work. The collections existed inside important stores.

But over time, I realized something else:

Maybe I wasn’t building for speed.
Maybe I was building for permanence.

Jewelry One of a KIND represents the second chapter of my career — a collectible jewelry house rooted in craftsmanship, emotional permanence, and thoughtful economics.

Every piece is handcrafted in small batches using sterling silver, brass, reclaimed materials, pearls, texture, weight, and sculptural form.

The work is designed slowly and intentionally.

And increasingly, so is the business.

After more than twenty years across wholesale, experiential retail, partnerships, and jewelry production, I’ve become deeply interested in how people connect to objects — and to each other.

That thinking shaped our participatory jewelry experiences.

Not traditional workshops, but design-led hospitality experiences where guests create handcrafted collectible objects using professional materials and guided craftsmanship.

The experience becomes part of the memory.

And the object remains afterward.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on reinvention — how many founders, artists, and creatives quietly evolve multiple times throughout their lives.

Starting over is not failure.

Sometimes it’s simply experience revealing what was always there.

Jewelry One of a KIND was built slowly on purpose.

And I think people can feel that.
